Overview

Serenity respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Serenity is a wellness journal and reflection app — not a medical record system.

What we collect

Account information (email, sign-in provider, optional phone for recovery), profile details you provide (name, goals, struggles), journal entries, focus and reflection data, chat messages with Serenity, and optional Apple Health sleep data read on your device when you connect it.

How we use your data

To run the app: store your journal, generate daily focus, and power AI conversations personalized to your context. We do not sell your personal data. AI features send relevant context to our AI provider to generate responses.

Where data is stored

Account and journal data are stored securely in Supabase (cloud database). Sleep data from Apple Health is read on your device and used locally — it is not sold or shared with advertisers.

AI processing

When you use chat, focus generation, or reflection features, Serenity may send portions of your journal, profile, and conversation history to xAI (Grok) to generate responses. Do not enter information you are uncomfortable having processed for this purpose.

Your choices

You can sign out, delete journal entries, disconnect Apple Health, or request account deletion by contacting support. You can use the app without connecting health data.
